“I’d like to say thank you for all the work your team at SP+ has put into this key component, parking, for the recovery of downtown Pontiac. I know we recognized your efforts last year with an award but that doesn’t fully recognize the impact for the product and support which your team has given. Although it may be a contractual relationship, I view SP+ as a strategic partner. Your teams ability to be flexible, and do the research needed at times to navigate the challenges and complexities our downtown faced in implementing the on-street parking program has proven to be key to our recovery efforts. Since last May we have almost doubled the number of retail, entertainment and restaurant business count in our downtown with many more under construction to open soon. We all know those openings could not occur if the parking program was not operating. It’s been a great relationship that has exceeded my expectations and I look forward to working with your team in the years to come.”
