SP+ University is our hospitality team members’ entry into training and career development focused on Five Diamond customer service and continuous learning. From day one, new team members are exposed to hospitality best practices including our SP+ branded behavioral model and service guidelines.

Through our SP+ University platform for learning, team members and managers can access on-demand learning and tools and participate in highly engaging learning communities. This platform is mobile optimized so that training can be done virtually anywhere and anytime. SP+ University also includes a team of dedicated learning professionals who support our team members and locations with on-the-job learning, interactive instructor-led training, and performance consulting and coaching.

Our services can provide:

  • Five Diamond Service Excellence and the SP+ Branded Behavioral Service Model: This learning for frontline employees which can be either taught through instructor-led training or via e-learning on the SP+ University platform provides foundational training for creating an exceptional guest experience. Additional on-the-job training focuses on Five Diamond Arrival and Departure Standards.
  • Manager Five Diamond Service and SP+ Branded Behavioral Service Model: This learning includes our SP+ “SPot-On” Feedback and Coaching model to drive employee engagement and exceptional service.
  • Hospitality Leadership Academy: In this 2.5 day, instructor-led session, new hospitality leaders are introduced to SP+ critical manager competencies required to develop high-performing teams dedicated to meeting guest and client expectations.
  • Manager Toolkits and On-the-Job learning tasks which decrease time to competence and improve the client experience
  • SP+ University platform, known as “SP+ U,” houses e-learning, job aids, videos, and documents and provides managers and employees with electronic records of learning.
  • The SP+ University team also provides additional consulting, learning development, and facilitation to enhance service excellence, manager best practices, culture, and operations.
