The Hyatt Regency Columbus needed an easy solution that would allow them to accommodate guests during peak visitor seasons. This 631-room hotel is located adjacent to the Greater Columbus Convention Center, and is within blocks from the state capital, Nationwide Arena, Port Columbus International Airport, and Ohio State University.
Understanding the hotel’s challenges, SP+ Hospitality Services partnered with a nearby self-park garage to increase parking availability. This solution helped decrease the hotel’s parking expenses by nearly 30% per space, while increasing occupancies and net cash flow for the garage owner.
To improve the hotel parking experience, SP+ Hospitality Services provided guests with the option of charging parking fees to their rooms that also gave them complimentary in/out privileges and accessibility to and from the hotel via an enclosed covered walkway.
