SP+’s Tie-Dye-Clad Coordinators to Assist Manitou Parking Lots

Visitors to Manitou Springs are now able to receive assistance on finding parking spaces from SP+ station coordinators available at all of the city’s lots.

SP+, the city’s parking contractor, has arranged for coordinators to be on duty at the city’s Hiawatha Gardens, Cañon and Barr Trail lots, and the Metropolitan Parking District’s Wichita and Smischny lots. The coordinators, adorning Manitou style tie-dyed t-shirts will be available from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the summer to monitor the capacity of each lot and communicate with each other via radio to direct visitors to lots where parking is available.

The coordinators will also help update the variable message board at the Ruxton Avenue roundabout to advise visitors on available parking. As well as assist visitors in getting to their destinations or provide them with information about everything from how to use the payment kiosks or what’s going on in town.

SP+ has also launched a new website to serve the city’s parking and transportation needs. ParkManitou.com will convey information about parking availability.
