Over the past weekend, SP+ participated in the Annual Ronald House “Touch A Truck” event held on the Promenade at Sagemore. Local families gathered for an opportunity to see, touch, and learn about some cool vehicles, including an SP+ employee shuttle bus used to serve the Cooper Hospital campus.
SP+ employees Maureen Coughlin and Annette Torres-Davis were at “Touch a Truck” to give tours of the shuttle, and hand out free toys, candies, and balloons to children.
“The kids had such a great time getting on the Cooper Shuttle and honking the horn, they pretended we were driving them to work or they pretended they were driving us to work,” said Ms. Coughlin. “Everyone who approached our shuttle got a little introduction to our new employee shuttles for Cooper Hospital. The turnout was so impressive and the whole experience was very rewarding.”
The event also offered kids crafts, games, a dunk tank, moon bounce, pony rides, and live entertainment. All of the day’s proceeds were donated to the Ronald McDonald House of SNJ to benefit families of ill children.
